Young Warriors Second Season in Midland Football Combination (compiled by Kenias Maphosa)
The second season in the Midland Football Combination was a learning curve for everyone in the club. The season began on a high after winning a promotion on the first attempt, Young Warriors were still unbeaten way into the second month of the Division 2 campaign. AS winter came draws and and defeats started to surface regulary on the team results. Confidence became low and as the team tried to recover League fines came in the way and points were deducted off the ambitious team. Credit to the the team we finished the season strongly with a lot of good performances towards the end of the season. Perhaps we need to adjust to the winter weather and learn to get stuck and produce results during the winter months. With all the problems the team finished 7th on the table , missing on promotion to the disappointment of the club. The club definately need sponsorship to survive in this demanding league.
Improvement in every aspects for 2011/2012 season will see the club gaining promotion to Division 1. All the best to the Club in the coming season!!!
